Description
This five legged stool is carved from ferry with inlays cut from satinwood. The satinwood, from Sri Lanka, is a highly figured variety of this wood. The seat rotates on 12 inch bearings. The challenge of making a stool with five legs made me go back to math, and then proceed with the imagination. The seat is about 22 inches from the ground. To insure that all legs touch the ground together I use a large stone, very flat, that I originally bought for leveling cello ribs.
