Description

Dream Flower is to be hung on the wall, and as I wrote on the back of it, anyone in the future has my blessing to change the orientation as it is displayed. As it emerged, the “flower” was in the lower right hand side, but rotating it once or twice might be fun. The piece is cut from satinwood, from Sri Lanka, and the inlays are cut from Brazilian cherry. The Brazilian cherry is leftover wood from our kitchen floor, and is not actually a cherry tree. It is, however, hard enough to almost break my hands carving it. A small piece of brass is inlaid. This piece is about  9 1/2″ by 12″ and almost an inch thick.
